4:30 pm - Regular Board of Directors Meeting

C. Goldberg, President started the meeting at 4:33 p.m.

She welcomed the New Health Director,  Luis Pantoja to QVHD and thanked R. Hamilton for her service as the Acting Director.

Approval of April 27, 2023 - Board Meeting Minutes

Motion by S. Yarbrough, seconded by J. O’Neil St. Peter, to approve the QVHD Board Meeting Minutes of the April 27, 2023.  

Motion to accept the minutes passed.

Financial Report

L. Altieri was not present for the meeting.

There were no questions regarding the Financial Report. 

Motion by E. Thornquist, seconded by J. Donaldson, to place the Financial Report on file.  

Motion passed.

Administrative Reports

Acting Director of Health – Roslyn Hamilton

Director’s Report was submitted.

R. Hamilton discussed the following:

• A. Mulvihill continues to provide Electronic Directly Observed Therapy (EDOT) every Monday-Friday for Tuberculosis (TB) cases.
• QVHD has arranged to have Naugatuck and East Shore District Health Department (ESDHD) cover when QVHD is not available. 

• R. Hamilton expressed the need for a Clinical Specialist to assist with Patient Care of TB cases. 

• Broadmoor Apartments have an issue again with hot water.  There is a need for a “Housing Code Inspector” to inspect the apartments prior to new tenants moving in. 

• R. Hamilton requested a quote from the Maintenance Company to do additional cleaning of QVHD. 

Motion was made by J. Donaldson, to approve the scheduled spring cleaning.  E.Thornquist stated that a vote is not needed for the Director of Health to authorize the cleaning. - It is part of the Managing Budget.  The Motion was withdrawn. 

• R. Hamilton and A. Mulvihill will be making arrangements to provide Fit Testing and OSHA Physicals for new and existing staff members.

Community Health: 

A.Mulvihill, Director of Community Programs – was not present for the meeting.

R. Hamilton noted that M. Mocarski updated QVHD’s website for Covid reference information prior to leaving her position at QVHD.

Environmental Health:  L. Fox, Chief of Environmental Service – was not present for the meeting.

Committee Reports:  No Reports 

The Nominating Committee will be added to the June 2023 QVHD Board Meeting Agenda.
