President’s comments:

C. Goldberg, Vice President started the meeting at 4:31 pm. C. Goldberg shared the public hearing for the proposed FY2023 budget was held on Thursday, April 21, 2022. No members of the public were present.

Approval of March 24, 2022 Board Meeting Minutes:

A motion was made by J. Donaldson and seconded by R. Ivins to approve the March 24, 2022 Board Meeting Minutes. The motion passed unanimously.

Financial Report

K. Wolujewicz provided an update on finances and noted finances are on target. A motion was made by J. Donaldson, seconded by R. Ivins to place the financial report on file. The motion passed unanimously.

Committee Reports:

Finance – C. Goldberg shared the proposed budget is an estimated budget for the district, citing it may need to be revised once union negotiations are finalized. K. Wolujewicz provided an overview of the proposed FY2023 Budget. A motion was made by R. Ivins, seconded by S. Yarbrough to approve the proposed estimated FY2023 Budget. The motion passed unanimously.

SBHC Liaisons – The next SBHC Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Administrative Reports:

Director of Health:

K. Wolujewicz highlighted the below:

  • K. Wolujewicz shared union negotiations are still ongoing.
  • Operational policies continue to be drafted and implemented internally.
  • COVID-19 vaccines are still being provided through clinics at QVHD.

Community Health:

A. Mulvihill highlighted the below community health activities:

  • Community health staff will be participating in multiple upcoming community events to provide timely health information and engage with our community.
  • Community health staff continue to develop routine health education materials for COVID-19 and other timely health topics.
  • An Overdose Prevention & Response training was provided to the Hamden Library Staff on Wednesday, April 27th.
  • QVHD partnered with a parent in the town of Woodbridge to offer the Overdose Prevention & Response training in a joint forum with parents and adolescents via zoom.

Environmental Health:

L. Fox highlighted the below environmental health activities:

  • $41,445 was collected via online Municipay.
  • L. Fox will be meeting with the Town of Bethany regarding large format scanning of Bethany street files.

Any Other Business Approved by Vote of the Board:

J. Donaldson asked to revisit the 2020 Board Retreat topics. K. Wolujewicz provided an update on the topics and highlighted QVHD has been addressing them, with space and facilities being an outstanding topic.
