President’s comments:

C. Goldberg, Vice President started the meeting at 4:31 pm.

Approval of January 27, 2022 Board Meeting Minutes:

A motion was made by R. Ivins and seconded by P. Sandor to approve the January 27, 2022 Board Meeting Minutes. The motion passed unanimously.

Financial Report

L. Altieri provided an update on finances. A motion was made by J. Donaldson, seconded by J. O’Neil St. Peter to place the financial report on file. The motion passed unanimously.

Committee Reports:

Finance – C. Goldberg shared that P. Marone, Chair of the Finance Committee is meeting with K. Wolujewicz and L. Altieri regarding the FY 2023 Budget.

SBHC Liaisons– The next SBHC Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

By-Laws – C. Goldberg will be working on editing the by-laws to include what to do if an officer resigns from the board.

Special Projects Committee – no report

Personnel Committee no report

Nominating Committee – On behalf of the nominating committee, A. Levison nominated C. Goldberg as President and P. Marone as Vice President of the Quinnipiack Valley Health District’s Board of Directors. A motion was made by J. Donaldson, seconded by R. Ivins to nominate C. Goldberg as President and P. Marone as Vice President. The motion passed unanimously.

Administrative Reports:

Director of Health:

K. Wolujewicz highlighted the below:

  • A meeting is scheduled for union negotiations with the QVHD Union Representative and QVHD Union President on March 28, 2022.
  • Contact tracing efforts have slowed down. However, health education on COVID-19 guidance is still being offered to schools, child care centers, and other local partners.
  • A weekly COVID-19 report is sent to each Superintendent. This report is compiled by QVHD’s contact tracer to share current COVID-19 data and statistics.
  • COVID-19 vaccinations are still being provided to homebound individuals within the district.
  • QVHD’s emergency preparedness plans are being reviewed and updated.

Community Health:

A. Mulvihill highlighted the below community health activities:

  • A seasonal newsletter will be developed and shared with our partners and community, as well as shared on QVHD’s social media channels. The first edition will be shared in April.
  • A refresher training on Naloxone and current drug trends was provided for North Haven Public School Nurses.
  • Community Health staff participated in a three-week training on Harm Reduction Rovers, a toolkit QVHD is working to implement within the district to make harm reduction materials more accessible. The training reviewed harm reduction 101, supplies and the data collection requirements for agencies agreeing to station a toolkit at their establishment. More to come on placements.

Environmental Health:

L. Fox highlighted the below environmental health activities:

  • Environmental staff are getting back to their routine activities.
  • The scanning of the Woodbridge street files has been completed and QVHD is currently cleaning up the digital files.

Any Other Business Approved by Vote of the Board:

J. Donaldson requested the Board revisit the goals from the 2020 Board Retreat during an upcoming meeting.

C. Goldberg brought up the topic of meeting in person vs zoom. Discussion followed. The goal is to hold the April 2022 meeting in person with a zoom option.
