President’s comments:
C. Goldberg, Vice President started the meeting at 4:33 pm. C. Goldberg shared that D. Clemente has resigned from the Quinnipiack Valley Health District (QVHD) Board of Directors. D. Clemente has accepted the part-time position of Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for QVHD and will be working on QVHD’s related emergency preparedness plans. C. Goldberg has informed Mayor Garrett of the Hamden Board of Directors opening.
C. Goldberg shared that P. Marone has resigned from the President position on the QVHD Board of Directors. C. Goldberg posed the question about filling the Presidency vacancy. The QVHD by-laws do not address the actions that follow a President stepping down. An amendment to the by-laws will be explored. Discussion followed.
A motion was made by J. Donaldson and seconded by E. Thornquist to move this to the nominating committee for a resolution on filling the vacant President position. A formal recommendation from the nominating committee is expected at the March 24, 2022 Board of Directors meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
Approval of December 9, 2021 Board Meeting Minutes:
A motion was made by E. Thornquist and seconded by R. Ivins to approve the December 9, 2021 Board Meeting Minutes. The motion passed unanimously.
Financial Report
L. Altieri provided an update on finances. Saving money by exploring payroll frequency was discussed. C. Goldberg shared by-laws address weekly pay and would need to be changed.

Administrative Reports:
Director of Health:
K. Wolujewicz highlighted the below:
- K. Wolujewicz shared management is currently conducting interviews for the board approved part-time office manager position.
- QVHD is monitoring the new COVID-19 subvariant, BA.2, which has been detected in CT. QVHD will continue to review CT surveillance data to track the SARS-COV-2 variants in our jurisdiction.
- QVHD staff continue to hold weekly COVID-19 booster clinics at the North Haven Rec Center for our community members.

Community Health:
A. Mulvihill highlighted the below community health activities:
- QVHD provided a training on the Dangers of Fentanyl to the Bethany Orange Woodbridge Drug Alcohol Action Council.
- Purchased Fentanyl Test Strips for public distribution; QVHD will be working with town partners and businesses to make them more widely available to community members.
- Community Health was successful in the promotion of the radon test kits through social media and our partner listserv. QVHD had a limited amount of free test kits for residents.

Environmental Health:
L. Fox highlighted the below environmental health activities:
- Guidelines for businesses when an employee is diagnosed with COVID-19 was drafted by M. Mocarski, QVHD’s Contact Tracer and shared with establishments.
- COVID-19 complaints continue to be addressed by QVHD staff.
- The scanning of Woodbridge street files has been completed by the vendor. QVHD is in the process of uploading them into our system.
